# Roya TV vs MTN TV+

The clearest difference is rating: MTN TV+ at 3.7 against Roya TV's 3.0. MTN TV+ also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5). Roya TV's advantage is review sentiment (24% vs 0%) and ratings volume (156 vs 7). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Roya TV sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. MTN TV+ asks for nothing beyond the download.

MTN TV+ holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Roya TV has 156 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of Roya TV's written reviews are positive against 0% of MTN TV+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Roya TV ships an update every 3 days, MTN TV+ every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
