# PDF Converter vs PDF Editor

The clearest difference is ratings volume: PDF Converter at 6K against PDF Editor's 40. PDF Converter also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 48%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Converter sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and PDF Editor sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for PDF Converter against 4.5 for PDF Editor. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Converter has 6K ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of PDF Converter's written reviews are positive against 48% of PDF Editor's.

PDF Converter ships an update fortnightly, PDF Editor every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
