# PDF Converter vs PDF Photos

The clearest difference is monetization model: PDF Photos at free with in-app purchases against PDF Converter's subscription. PDF Photos also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.4). PDF Converter's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Converter sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and PDF Photos sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Photos holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6K and 14K respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 67% and 67% positive.

PDF Converter ships an update fortnightly, PDF Photos every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
