# Smartphone Connect vs Panasonic SmartWiFi

The clearest difference is rating: Panasonic SmartWiFi at 3.7 against Smartphone Connect's 2.7. Smartphone Connect's advantage is update cadence (every 4 months vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (21 vs 3). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Panasonic SmartWiFi holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smartphone Connect has 21 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of Smartphone Connect's written reviews are positive against 14% of Panasonic SmartWiFi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Smartphone Connect ships an update every 4 months, Panasonic SmartWiFi every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
