# The Talking Shell vs Claro Música

The clearest difference is rating: Claro Música at 4.5 against The Talking Shell's 2.6. Claro Música also leads on ratings volume (2.3K vs 10). The Talking Shell's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (55% vs 33%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Talking Shell sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Claro Música sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Claro Música holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Claro Música has 2.3K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of The Talking Shell's written reviews are positive against 33% of Claro Música's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
