# Frequency vs Massage Note

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Frequency at 85% against Massage Note's 20%. Frequency also leads on rating (4.7 vs 2.5) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months). Massage Note's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 23) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 16). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Frequency sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Massage Note asks for nothing beyond the download.

Frequency holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Frequency has 2.4K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 85% of Frequency's written reviews are positive against 20% of Massage Note's.
