# Frequency vs CCBC

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CCBC at none against Frequency's 23. CCBC also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (9.0.0 vs 16). Frequency's advantage is ratings volume (2.4K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Frequency sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. CCBC asks for nothing beyond the download.

CCBC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Frequency has 2.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Frequency ships an update every 2 weeks, CCBC fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
