# Frequency vs MitoCollar

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MitoCollar at none against Frequency's 10. MitoCollar also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). Frequency's advantage is ratings volume (2.4K vs 3). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Frequency sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. MitoCollar asks for nothing beyond the download.

MitoCollar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Frequency has 2.4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Frequency ships an update every 2 weeks, MitoCollar every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
