# PicWords™ vs Between the Words

The clearest difference is ads: Between the Words at none against PicWords™'s shown. Between the Words also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 92%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.0). PicWords™'s advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (123 vs 12). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PicWords™ sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Between the Words sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PicWords™ holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PicWords™ has 123 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of PicWords™'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Between the Words's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
