# Sci vs Solves

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Sci at none against Solves's 6. Sci also leads on ratings volume (3.6K vs 382) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 15). Solves's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and device support (5 vs 3). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Solves sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Sci asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Sci against 4.9 for Solves. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sci has 3.6K ratings behind it against 382, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 93% of Sci's written reviews are positive against 91% of Solves's.

Sci ships an update every 2 months, Solves every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
