# Flashback vs Vox

Flashback and Vox both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 76% of Flashback's written reviews are positive against 37% of Vox's. Flashback also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8) and ads (none vs shown). Vox's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (83 vs 7). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vox sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Flashback asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flashback holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vox has 83 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 76% of Flashback's written reviews are positive against 37% of Vox's.

Flashback ships an update every 2 months, Vox weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
