# Flashback vs Vantage Calendar

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Flashback at none against Vantage Calendar's 3. Flashback also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). Vantage Calendar's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 7) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vantage Calendar sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Flashback asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Flashback against 4.3 for Vantage Calendar. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vantage Calendar has 1.8K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 76% of Flashback's written reviews are positive against 82% of Vantage Calendar's.

Flashback ships an update every 2 months, Vantage Calendar fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
