# HashPhotos vs fastbackward

The clearest difference is rating: HashPhotos at 4.7 against fastbackward's 2.3. HashPhotos also leads on ratings volume (2.5K vs 3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). fastbackward's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 79%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HashPhotos sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and fastbackward sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HashPhotos holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HashPhotos has 2.5K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of HashPhotos's written reviews are positive against 100% of fastbackward's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HashPhotos ships an update weekly, fastbackward every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
