# Freddy Fresh vs REWE

The clearest difference is rating: REWE at 4.5 against Freddy Fresh's 2.3. REWE also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (962K vs 92). Freddy Fresh's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

REWE holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: REWE has 962K ratings behind it against 92, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Freddy Fresh's written reviews are positive against 55% of REWE's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Freddy Fresh ships an update every 16 months, REWE every 8 days. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
