# BLE RSSI Meter vs Drone Buddy

The clearest difference is rating: Drone Buddy at 4.7 against BLE RSSI Meter's 3.5. Drone Buddy also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 14 months) and ratings volume (8.4K vs 11). BLE RSSI Meter's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drone Buddy sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. BLE RSSI Meter asks for nothing beyond the download.

Drone Buddy holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drone Buddy has 8.4K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of BLE RSSI Meter's written reviews are positive against 55% of Drone Buddy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BLE RSSI Meter ships an update every 14 months, Drone Buddy every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
