# Telegram Messenger vs Google Meet

The clearest difference is rating: Google Meet at 4.8 against Telegram Messenger's 4.0. Google Meet also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 22) and review sentiment (46% vs 34%). Telegram Messenger's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Telegram Messenger sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Google Meet asks for nothing beyond the download.

Google Meet holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. Written reviews point the same way: 34% of Telegram Messenger's written reviews are positive against 46% of Google Meet's.

Telegram Messenger ships an update fortnightly, Google Meet weekly. Both last shipped on October 19, 2026.
