# Telegram Messenger vs Skred Messenger

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Telegram Messenger at 285K against Skred Messenger's 79. Telegram Messenger also leads on chart position (#4 vs unranked). Skred Messenger's advantage is review sentiment (53% vs 34%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Telegram Messenger sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Skred Messenger sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.0 for Telegram Messenger against 3.9 for Skred Messenger. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Telegram Messenger has 285K ratings behind it against 79, so its average is the more settled of the two.
