# Telegram Messenger vs Dual App

Telegram Messenger and Dual App both sit at 4.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 66% of Dual App's written reviews are positive against 34% of Telegram Messenger's. Telegram Messenger's advantage is ratings volume (285K vs 931) and chart position (#3 vs #160). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Telegram Messenger sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Dual App sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.0 for Telegram Messenger against 4.0 for Dual App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Telegram Messenger has 285K ratings behind it against 931, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 34% of Telegram Messenger's written reviews are positive against 66% of Dual App's.

Telegram Messenger ships an update weekly, Dual App every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
