# Whitespace vs Mega Calendar

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mega Calendar at 100% against Whitespace's 56%. Mega Calendar also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.8) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Whitespace's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Whitespace sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Mega Calendar sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mega Calendar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Whitespace has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 56% of Whitespace's written reviews are positive against 100% of Mega Calendar's.

Whitespace ships an update every 2 months, Mega Calendar every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
