# Alarmed vs Clock Alarm++

The clearest difference is rating: Clock Alarm++ at 4.2 against Alarmed's 3.0. Clock Alarm++ also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 1). Alarmed's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Clock Alarm++ holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clock Alarm++ has 1.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Alarmed's written reviews are positive against 42% of Clock Alarm++'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alarmed ships an update monthly, Clock Alarm++ every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
