# Alarmed vs Alarm Clock

The clearest difference is rating: Alarm Clock at 4.3 against Alarmed's 3.0. Alarm Clock also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (190 vs 1). Alarmed's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 8%) and in-app purchases (none vs 7). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Alarm Clock sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Alarmed asks for nothing beyond the download.

Alarm Clock holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alarm Clock has 190 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Alarmed's written reviews are positive against 8% of Alarm Clock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alarmed ships an update monthly, Alarm Clock every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
