# Congas! vs Drum Set

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Drum Set at none against Congas!'s 1. Drum Set also leads on ratings volume (414 vs 27) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Congas!'s advantage is review sentiment (57% vs 33%) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Congas! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Drum Set asks for nothing beyond the download.

Drum Set holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drum Set has 414 ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Congas!'s written reviews are positive against 33% of Drum Set's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Congas! ships an update every 9 days, Drum Set every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
