# Congas! vs Congas & Bongos

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Congas! at 56% against Congas & Bongos's 38%. Congas! also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). Congas & Bongos's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (466 vs 27). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Congas! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Congas & Bongos sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Congas & Bongos holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Congas & Bongos has 466 ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Congas!'s written reviews are positive against 38% of Congas & Bongos's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Congas! ships an update every 9 days, Congas & Bongos every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
