# 3sat vs sharemagazines

The clearest difference is rating: sharemagazines at 5.0 against 3sat's 3.8. sharemagazines also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months). 3sat's advantage is ratings volume (9 vs 1) and review sentiment (66% vs 57%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

sharemagazines holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 3sat has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of 3sat's written reviews are positive against 57% of sharemagazines's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

3sat ships an update every 5 months, sharemagazines monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
