# Fraction Help vs Maker Calc Fraction Calculator

The clearest difference is monetization model: Fraction Help at free with in-app purchases against Maker Calc Fraction Calculator's subscription. Fraction Help also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.1). Maker Calc Fraction Calculator's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months) and rating (4.8 vs 4.4). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fraction Help sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Maker Calc Fraction Calculator sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Maker Calc Fraction Calculator holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 208 and 79 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Fraction Help's written reviews are positive against 93% of Maker Calc Fraction Calculator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fraction Help ships an update every 7 months, Maker Calc Fraction Calculator every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
