# DicksonOne vs ThermoWorks

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ThermoWorks at 65% against DicksonOne's 20%. ThermoWorks also leads on ratings volume (17K vs 2) and update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). DicksonOne's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DicksonOne holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ThermoWorks has 17K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of DicksonOne's written reviews are positive against 65% of ThermoWorks's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DicksonOne ships an update every 4 months, ThermoWorks monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
