# Shape Shuffle vs Block Stack

The clearest difference is ads: Shape Shuffle at none against Block Stack's shown. Shape Shuffle also leads on ratings volume (7 vs 1) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shape Shuffle sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Block Stack sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Shape Shuffle against 5.0 for Block Stack. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shape Shuffle has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Shape Shuffle ships an update fortnightly, Block Stack every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and September 14, 2026 respectively.
