# Design Lab vs Logo Maker

The clearest difference is rating: Design Lab at 4.7 against Logo Maker's 4.2. Design Lab also leads on review sentiment (75% vs 50%) and ratings volume (6.3K vs 9). Logo Maker's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Design Lab sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Logo Maker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Design Lab holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Design Lab has 6.3K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 75% of Design Lab's written reviews are positive against 50% of Logo Maker's.

Design Lab ships an update every 2 months, Logo Maker every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
