# Design Lab vs Poster Maker

The clearest difference is ads: Poster Maker at none against Design Lab's shown. Poster Maker also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). Design Lab's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 44%) and ratings volume (6.3K vs 121). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Design Lab sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Poster Maker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Design Lab against 4.8 for Poster Maker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Design Lab has 6.3K ratings behind it against 121, so its average is the more settled of the two.
