# Big Game Coverage vs Cru Rec

The clearest difference is update cadence: Big Game Coverage at every 5 months against Cru Rec's every 49 months. Big Game Coverage also leads on ratings volume (1.5K vs 16). Cru Rec's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cru Rec holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Big Game Coverage has 1.5K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Big Game Coverage ships an update every 5 months, Cru Rec every 49 months. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
