# AlgoApp vs Scribd

The clearest difference is rating: AlgoApp at 4.7 against Scribd's 2.8. AlgoApp also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (50% vs 14%). Scribd's advantage is chart position (#118 vs unranked). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AlgoApp sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Scribd sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AlgoApp holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AlgoApp has 20K ratings behind it against 275, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of AlgoApp's written reviews are positive against 14% of Scribd's.

AlgoApp ships an update every 4 days, Scribd fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
