# SARIE Kos vs Kitplanes

The clearest difference is monetization model: Kitplanes at free against SARIE Kos's subscription. Kitplanes also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). SARIE Kos's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SARIE Kos sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $15.99 per year and Kitplanes sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $35.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SARIE Kos ships an update every 4 months, Kitplanes every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
