# Flight Board vs Lufthansa Air Sonar

The clearest difference is rating: Flight Board at 4.7 against Lufthansa Air Sonar's 4.3. Flight Board also leads on ratings volume (31K vs 7) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 8 months). Lufthansa Air Sonar's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 36%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Flight Board holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flight Board has 31K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Flight Board's written reviews are positive against 50% of Lufthansa Air Sonar's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flight Board ships an update every 2 months, Lufthansa Air Sonar every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
