# PURE vs Face Magic

The clearest difference is rating: Face Magic at 5.0 against PURE's 4.2. Face Magic also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). PURE's advantage is ratings volume (87K vs 4) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PURE sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days and Face Magic sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Face Magic holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PURE has 87K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PURE ships an update every 11 days, Face Magic every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
