# Rave Guardian vs AlertAware

The clearest difference is rating: Rave Guardian at 4.6 against AlertAware's 3.5. Rave Guardian also leads on ratings volume (3K vs 8). AlertAware's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 32%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Rave Guardian holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rave Guardian has 3K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of Rave Guardian's written reviews are positive against 50% of AlertAware's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rave Guardian ships an update every 2 months, AlertAware every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
