# Cup Shuffle vs Game is Hard

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Cup Shuffle at none against Game is Hard's 10. Cup Shuffle also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 71%). Game is Hard's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (41K vs 6). On price, rating and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Game is Hard sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Cup Shuffle asks for nothing beyond the download.

Game is Hard holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Game is Hard has 41K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Cup Shuffle's written reviews are positive against 71% of Game is Hard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cup Shuffle ships an update every 5 months, Game is Hard weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
