# TeamViewer Remote Control vs Passwordstate

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Passwordstate at 100% against TeamViewer Remote Control's 45%. Passwordstate also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1). TeamViewer Remote Control's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 3.3) and ratings volume (45K vs 4). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TeamViewer Remote Control sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $619.99 per year. Passwordstate asks for nothing beyond the download.

TeamViewer Remote Control holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TeamViewer Remote Control has 45K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of TeamViewer Remote Control's written reviews are positive against 100% of Passwordstate's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TeamViewer Remote Control ships an update every 3 weeks, Passwordstate every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
