# TeamViewer Remote Control vs ASUS GlideX

TeamViewer Remote Control and ASUS GlideX both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 92% of ASUS GlideX's written reviews are positive against 45% of TeamViewer Remote Control's. ASUS GlideX also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). TeamViewer Remote Control's advantage is ratings volume (45K vs 2.5K) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TeamViewer Remote Control sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $619.99 per year and ASUS GlideX sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for TeamViewer Remote Control against 4.8 for ASUS GlideX. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TeamViewer Remote Control has 45K ratings behind it against 2.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 45% of TeamViewer Remote Control's written reviews are positive against 92% of ASUS GlideX's.

TeamViewer Remote Control ships an update every 3 weeks, ASUS GlideX every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
