# Meraki vs Digital Building

The clearest difference is update cadence: Meraki at fortnightly against Digital Building's every 5 months. Meraki also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 2). Digital Building's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 14). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Digital Building holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Meraki has 1.4K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Meraki ships an update fortnightly, Digital Building every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
