# IXL vs Knowre Math

The clearest difference is rating: IXL at 4.3 against Knowre Math's 3.2. IXL also leads on ratings volume (206K vs 6) and chart position (#59 vs unranked). Knowre Math's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 38%) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IXL sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Knowre Math asks for nothing beyond the download.

IXL holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IXL has 206K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of IXL's written reviews are positive against 80% of Knowre Math's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

IXL ships an update monthly, Knowre Math every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
