# Filterloop vs Just Snow

The clearest difference is monetization model: Just Snow at free with in-app purchases against Filterloop's subscription. Just Snow also leads on ads (none vs shown). Filterloop's advantage is ratings volume (13K vs 347). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Filterloop sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Just Snow sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Just Snow holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Filterloop has 13K ratings behind it against 347, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Filterloop's written reviews are positive against 70% of Just Snow's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Filterloop ships an update every 2 months, Just Snow monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
