# Filterloop vs Glitterr

The clearest difference is monetization model: Glitterr at free with in-app purchases against Filterloop's subscription. Glitterr also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). Filterloop's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 52%) and ratings volume (13K vs 2.2K). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Filterloop sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Glitterr sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Glitterr holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Filterloop has 13K ratings behind it against 2.2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Filterloop's written reviews are positive against 52% of Glitterr's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Filterloop ships an update every 2 months, Glitterr weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
