# CANAL+ vs ShowLike

CANAL+ and ShowLike both sit at 3.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of ShowLike's written reviews are positive against 33% of CANAL+'s. ShowLike also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.5). CANAL+'s advantage is ratings volume (516 vs 27) and device support (5 vs 3). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CANAL+ sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and ShowLike sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ShowLike holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CANAL+ has 516 ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of CANAL+'s written reviews are positive against 100% of ShowLike's.

CANAL+ ships an update fortnightly, ShowLike every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
