# CANAL+ vs lagui+ ciné

The clearest difference is rating: lagui+ ciné at 5.0 against CANAL+'s 3.8. lagui+ ciné also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.5). CANAL+'s advantage is ratings volume (516 vs 2) and device support (5 vs 3). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CANAL+ sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and lagui+ ciné sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

lagui+ ciné holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CANAL+ has 516 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CANAL+ ships an update fortnightly, lagui+ ciné weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
