# CANAL+ vs CAF Events

The clearest difference is rating: CAF Events at 5.0 against CANAL+'s 3.8. CAF Events also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 13) and ads (none vs shown). CANAL+'s advantage is ratings volume (516 vs 1) and device support (5 vs 2). On price, update cadence and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CANAL+ sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. CAF Events asks for nothing beyond the download.

CAF Events holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CANAL+ has 516 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CANAL+ ships an update fortnightly, CAF Events every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
