# CANAL+ vs Kimov

The clearest difference is ads: Kimov at none against CANAL+'s shown. Kimov also leads on update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.5). CANAL+'s advantage is device support (5 vs 3). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CANAL+ sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Kimov sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CANAL+ ships an update fortnightly, Kimov weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
