# CANAL+ vs BNC TV

The clearest difference is rating: BNC TV at 5.0 against CANAL+'s 3.8. BNC TV also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 13) and ads (none vs shown). CANAL+'s advantage is ratings volume (516 vs 1) and device support (5 vs 2). On price and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CANAL+ sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. BNC TV asks for nothing beyond the download.

BNC TV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CANAL+ has 516 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CANAL+ ships an update fortnightly, BNC TV daily. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
