# Melodeon vs C

The clearest difference is rating: C at 2.0 against Melodeon's 1.0. C also leads on price ($1.99 vs $9.99) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.6). Melodeon's advantage is review sentiment (20% vs 0%) and chart position (#198 vs unranked). On ratings volume, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Melodeon costs $9.99 and C $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

C holds the better App Store score, 2.0 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Melodeon's written reviews are positive against 0% of C's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Melodeon ships an update every 5 months, C every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
