# ChallengeRunner vs SolaVieve

The clearest difference is rating: SolaVieve at 5.0 against ChallengeRunner's 4.5. ChallengeRunner's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ratings volume (8.7K vs 5). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SolaVieve sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.59 per month. ChallengeRunner asks for nothing beyond the download.

SolaVieve holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChallengeRunner has 8.7K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of ChallengeRunner's written reviews are positive against 0% of SolaVieve's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ChallengeRunner ships an update every 2 weeks, SolaVieve every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
