# PS Snapshot! vs Axon

The clearest difference is rating: Axon at 4.8 against PS Snapshot!'s 3.5. Axon also leads on ratings volume (1.3K vs 4). PS Snapshot!'s advantage is monetization model (free vs subscription) and review sentiment (60% vs 40%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Axon holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Axon has 1.3K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of PS Snapshot!'s written reviews are positive against 40% of Axon's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PS Snapshot! ships an update every 3 weeks, Axon every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
